Statement Regarding Bond Election Results

May 12, 2025

Good evening, Bobcat Nation,

We have received results from the Box Butte County Election Commissioner regarding the bond election.  The proposed bond failed.  The preliminary results were 551 votes against said bonds and tax and 235 votes for said bond and tax.  We will update the vote totals on this message once the final results are official.

While tonight’s results are not what we had hoped for, we respect and appreciate the voice of our community. Democracy is at the heart of who we are, and we respect the will of the voters.

Although the bond did not pass, the facility needs identified through our assessment process remain. Our commitment to providing the best possible education for our students does not change. We will continue working with our community to find solutions that move us forward.

We are especially grateful to the many volunteers who dedicated countless hours to educate our community about the bond proposal. Your passion for our students is inspirational.  Our work together continues, and we remain dedicated to serving our students and this community with care, respect, and excellence.
