Football –
The Bobcats were coached by Jep Byrum who was assisted by Chas Lindly. They tied Rushville 0-0, and defeated Crawford 13-7, and Alliance 33-7. Ron Wax and Dale Campbell were Co-Captains. Both Campbell and Wax were named to the All-Conference teams. Campbell was awarded the DAV Sportsmanship Award.
Ends were: Kenny Campbell, Bob Stewart, and Fred Sulzbach; Guards were: Calvin Messersmith, Carl Nyquist, Paul Burney, and Jerry Overstreet. Tackles were: Jim Gasseling, Dennis Winters, and Bill Rasmussen. Centers were Ron Wax and Bruce Shaver. QB was Jim Woods; Halfbacks were Dale Campbell and Delbert Wyland; and the fullback was Earl Lliteras.
Volleyball – Was not a school activity

Girls Basketball – Was not a school activity, but there were inter-mural teams
Boys Basketball –
The boys were coached by Coach Chuck Lindly and won five games, including two victories over St. Agnes and Rushville. The Bobcats also beat Morrill. Lettermen included: Mel Price, Jerry Overstreet, Dale Campbell, Clem Gasseling, Kent Yardley, Ron Wax, Jim Wood, and Bob Stewart. Co-Captains were Jerry Overstreet and Dale Campbell.

Boys Track and Field –
Earl Lliteras led the Thinclads and Coach Byrum.. He qualified for state in the 100, the 220, and anchored the state 880 relay team, which also included Conn Fickel, Dale Campbell, and Delbert Wyland. The team also included Ron Wax, Jim Wood, Jim Moravek, Clem Gasseling, K. Campbell, K. Yardley, F. Sulzbach, C. Lindly, J. Rowley, J. Overstreet, C. Nyquist, B. Shaver, J. Clark, D. Banks, D. Morgan, P. Burney, and C. Messersmith. The boys won the conference meet in Scottsbluff as well as the Chadron meet.
